Personally Fit by Loretta

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Loretta Evans and the Personally Fit crew wanted a website that was as swanky as their salon.  With a lot of customized elements such as dynamic navigation, sidebars that change for every page, and a great place to list their team members, you better believe this site (just like their clients) got the star treatment.

School Security Blog

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

School Security is no joke.  So when Ken Trump wanted a fresh new look for his blog that would be visually stimulating, and yet still get his point across, I took up the challenge.  The result is a clean, easy-to-read visual treat for the eyes.

The Periscope Group

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

When Aaron and Mark over at The Periscope Group approached me about a cool, social media friendly site for their company and blog, I jumped on the chance.  What emerged is a cool-blue tranquil site that hides a barrage of social media goodness.  The most fun part? Click on the author’s names and it takes you to a fully customized author page complete with social media links that are pulled straight from their profile.  Easy-peasy.

Synopsis

C.C. and I worked together on the Digital Dads site, and I knew that he enjoyed pushing the envelope when it came to his websites.  When he told me this idea, however, I knew I had to jump on the chance to help him out.  So, what does the new C.C. Chapman website look like?  What does it do?  Well, it tells you about C.C. of course!  This site is his dashboard for all things C.C. on the internet.  His podcasts, his company, his photos; this page has them all!

Ask Julie Ask

Synopsis

Julie is the second Forrester Research Analyst I’ve had the pleasure of doing a site for, and (just like Jeremiah Owyang’s) her site was one of the more fun projects I’ve taken on.  She wanted something fun, artistic, but still true to her roots and calling as a mobile analyst.  So, with the talk of mobile trends (and some fun iconography) floating above the skyline, she tells it like it in in the mobile world.

DigitalDads

Site URL:

http://www.digitaldads.com

Synopsis

From the mind of CC Chapman, the man who’s one of the “hottest 18 men on twitter” (with peppers to prove it) comes the answer to the mommy blog – Digital Dads! From grilling and technology to life lessons on being a father, this site has it all. The minds behind Digital Dads wanted a site that felt like you were lounging with the guys, talking about… well, guy stuff!

The T3 Initiative

t3

Site URL:

http://www.t3tech.org

Synopsis

Sometimes you get the chance to work on a project that is a lot bigger than yourself. The T3 Initiative, put on by the Nashville Technology Council, is by far one of those projects. And what a project it was. With 4 different sections, controlled with custom filters to allow each category to have it’s own header, navigation, and posts, it was truly one of the more complex site builds I have ever done.

Synopsis

Jeremiah Owyang is a researcher for Forrester with a huge online presence. His old design was professional, but just not hip enough to merge his professional work with his personality. I stepped in for a complete head-to-toe redesign

(Side note: the header was crowdsourced as a social experience, but all other items in this theme are hand-coded or conceptualized by me!)
